AIMS OF THE BALANCE INTEREST GROUP

  • To inform people about the nature of the balance system, and offer advice on how to proceed with problem solving if they have a balance problem

  • Improve service delivery to patients by facilitating information flow within the NHS

  • To cover common questions patients ask, and offer some answers, which were put together by our committee which consists of Audiological Scientists and other types of Allied Health Professionals, but also including ENT Surgeons, and Audiological Physicians

  • Offer the general public information about the treatment and management of balance disorders and vestibular dysfunction

  • To offer up to date web links to informative web sites covering everything from anatomy, through to welfare advice.
